CCE to Host Workshop on Local Woodlot Management | 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at the Yates County Auditorium, 417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan | “Yates County Forestry Workshop: Enjoying and Getting More Out of Your Woods”
Participants will learn about threats to their woodlot – human, insect, and plant; how to protect and enhance their woodlot through development of a management plan; the basics of a timber sale and more!
The workshop will include presentations by NYSDEC Forester Jim Bagley and, New York Forest Owners Association President Mike Seager.
The fee is $10 per person, which includes handouts.
Pre-registration for the workshop is required and easy! Call the CCE Yates County office by March 23 to register at 315-536-5123 or send your name, address and phone number and a check made out to CCE Yates County to: CCE Yates County, 417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
