The mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension is to enable people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work. Cooperative Extension provides current research information- ranging from weed and pest control to livestock care to financial management plus so much more. Wyoming County also has the second largest 4-H program in New York State. Kids who participate in 4-H do better in school, learn to help others, and feel more capable and responsible.
In continuing to fulfill our mission, we invite you to enroll in one, some or all of our subject areas described below. Make sure to fill out the appropriate enrollment form for each program that you would like to enroll in!

in. The enrollment fee information is included on the enrollment forms

It's time to enroll with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County for 2011. We encourage you to return your completed enrollment card(s) as soon as possible.
Once again this year, we are offering a discount for multiple enrollments from the same farm, family, or organization. The first enrollment is $50. Each additional enrollment is $40. Please contact our office to receive group enrollment cards for your family or staff.
To provide more program opportunities for dairy, livestock and field crop producers, effective January 1, 2011 Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County has become a partner in the CCE North West New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crop Team. This opens the door for Wyoming County producers to access the eight-member team. Members are professionals in agronomy, dairy science, entomology, farm business management, Hispanic workforce development, livestock production and small farms.

- Announcements on upcoming classes and events that are of interest to you. (Double check to make sure all of your interests are checked off on both sides of your enrollment card and include your e-mail address for instant notifications!)
- Our quarterly “Wyoming County Farm News”
- For dairy, livestock and field crop producers, the NWNY CCE Dairy, Livestock & Field Crops Team’s monthly “Ag Focus”
- Discounted prices on classes, services, and resources: Wyoming County Dairy Institute, Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL), Pesticide Applicator Training, complete soil analysis, Cornell Dairy and Classic Farm Account books and Diagnostic Services – in office insect, disease, weed or plant identification, and soil pH testing.

The home gardening program is a valuable resource to help answer your questions on flowers, vegetables, fruit, lawn, trees and shrubs, pests, and much, much more. Gardeners may access information through workshops, publications, phone inquiries, and office visits.

4-H Youth Development Program

Wyoming County 4-H hosts several different types of clubs, including home economics, horse, sheep, dog and many more.
Please call us at (585) 786-2251 and let us know what are your interests, and we'll tell you the availability of clubs in your area.
And remember- There's always a need for new club leaders to meet the needs of our YOUTH!
