Activity Choices:

Archery

At Wyomoco, every camper has the chance to become the next Robin Hood. Archers can work their way through skills levels to reach the title of Master Bowman! Instructors are certified by the NYS 4-H Shooting Sports program. Archers will learn first and foremost safety and skill with the help of an expert archer.

Arts and Crafts

Try your hand at a variety of crafts, some with natural materials and others using contemporary materials and designs.  It’s fun, it’s creative, and it’s Wyomoco Arts & Crafts!!

Basketball

Our campers at the beginner level will learn the fundamentals of basketball while our intermediate skill level campers work toward improving their ball handling, shooting and passing techniques. This is all coupled with plenty of time playing the game itself! Emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship is stressed as it is with all Wyomoco athletic programs.

Beach Volleyball

Using Wyomoco rules we play with six campers to a team. Campers will learn the rules of the game and how to serve, bump, and pass the volleyball to each other in this fun activity open for all ages. Younger campers often start out with Newcomb and then work their way up to a traditional game format and rotation.

Culinary Fun

What’s cooking at Wyomoco? You are! Culinary Fun is the only activity at camp where you can eat your accomplishments! Our camp chef will train you in the ways of the great cooks of the world or at least in the ways that Wyomoco campers will love! Hands on learning, great recipes and tasty treats will highlight our Culinary Fun activity.

Drama

Learn and participate in comic arts, drama, dancing and singing as one of Wyomoco’s talented cast members in preparation for a brief, end of the week performance for your camp friends! By the way, last year’s performances were attended by some pretty wealthy spectators. Squirrels were seen watching from the trees wearing fur!

Drawing and Painting

Campers explore a variety of mediums including pen and ink, charcoal, water color and acrylic. We may try landscape figure drawing or still life. Every day is a new adventure!

Fencing

There’s a little Zorro in every child! Master the art of swordsmanship under the guidance of our fencing coach as you learn the rules and techniques of foil and epee fencing. Fun for boys and girls, beginners start as Squires as they first learn safety with Wyomoco’s state of the art fencing equipment. They then begin to learn fencing skills that are both mentally and physically challenging! They will practice balance, foot work, body movement and blade training. Within a few days, campers begin to spar as they cross foils with their peers.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

This 4-H program helps develop young leaders for our community. Camp Wyomoco's CIT Program will help you become a leader at camp, at home and in your community. It is also the first step in becoming a counselor at camp.

There are three levels in our program: 1, 2 and 3. In CIT1 and 2 classes you will learn and develop leadership skills amongst peers as well as younger community members. You'll begin to assume responsibilities in the camp community. CIT1's are at least 14 years old and CIT2's are at least 15 years old.

The CIT3 program is the highest and most respected level of our program. The 16 year old CIT3s are assistant leaders in cabin groups of younger campers and in classes. CIT3s also help develop and run special camp programs and themes. To become a CIT3 you must have completed the CIT1 and CIT2 programs at camp and be invited into the program by the CIT Director. Canidates then need to apply and be interviewed for the program.

For additional information regarding this program please contact camp office at 585-786-2251.
