Wyoming County 4-H Members Compete in Dairy Bowl Competition

On Saturday, January 29th, the annual Wyoming County 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Contest was held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center in Warsaw. 66 juniors on 19 teams and 27 seniors on 8 teams competed in an event that tests knowledge of the dairy industry. Contest officials were Bob Todd of Warsaw, Aimee Berkemeier of Wyoming, Amanda Berkemeier of Pavilion, Jan Osborn of Portageville, Vanessa Dunning of Wyoming, Debra Welch or Wyoming and Will Herrick of Bliss. Individual and team results are as follows:

Senior Dairy Bowl Team Winner
Winning Senior Dairy Bowl team the 4-P’s 4-H Club. Members of the team were(L-R) Lyman Rudgers of Attica, Oliver Ewell of Pavilion, Corey Davis of Pavilion and Luke Colopy of Castile.
Junior Dairy Bowl Team
Winning Junior Dairy Bowl Team the Barnstromers 4-H Club. Member of the team were (L-R) Peyton Fontaine of Strykersville, Alex Barber of Bliss, Allison Herrick of Bliss and Patrick Fontaine of Strykersville.
