Join Ulster County Master Gardeners for Tea in the Garden

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s Master Gardeners at the Jacob A. Hasbrouck Building on the SUNY Ulster Campus in Stone Ridge on Saturday, August 23 at 2:30pm for an afternoon stroll through their award winning Xeriscape Garden. Master Gardeners will explain the principles of drought resistant garden design and planting techniques which create a spectacularly lush and colorful garden that features perennial herbs, flowers and shrubs. The tea and tour of Victoria’s Gardens in High Falls immediately follows. The cost of the tour, talk and tea is $15 per person. All participants will receive a comprehensive list of waterwise plants to help them start their own Xeriscape Garden. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Tuesday, August 19.

The Xeriscape Garden is an interactive teaching tool in the selection of heat tolerant, waterwise plants, integrated pest management and alternative landscaping techniques.
