Join the Master Gardeners for a bus trip to the best flower show in the East!

This year’s theme, "Jazz it Up." From the French Quarter to Bourbon Street, images of New Orleans provide a scintillating backdrop for the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show. “Jazz it Up” will celebrate the birthplace of jazz and much more, as exhibitors take gardening to the next level with pumped-up versions of New Orleans walled courtyards, cast iron balconies, fountains and canals. If you like music, there will also be the toetapping sounds of great Jazz legends. Floral chandeliers will perfume the air in the electrifying Rhythm Rooms Jazz Club by Lamsback Floral Decorators, a creative collection of nature inspired rooms that will provide hundreds of outdoor and indoor design ideas. A special Legends of Entertainment Stage will feature daily jazz performances hosted by Settlement Music School. Throughout the exhibition halls, hundreds of exhibitors will offer ‘Jazzed Up’ garden and floral displays that take the Flower Show to a whole new level. A program schedule for the days events will be available on the bus on March 4.

Buses load at 6:45am at the Kingston Plaza near the Steve & Barry’s Store and leave at 7:00am, arriving at approximately 11:00am with a brief stop en route. Buses depart at 5:00pm and arrive in Kingston around 9:30 pm. There is a short stop for a snack on the way back. The buses stop at the New Paltz Thruway “park and ride” for passengers. Choose Bus 1 for pick-up in Kingston or Bus 2 for pick-up in New Paltz below.

The fee is $55.00 for show ticket and transportation. Bringing a bag lunch is recommended as the food service is usually very crowded. Also, extensive walking and standing on hard floors necessitate wearing comfortable shoes. Deadline for registration is Tuesday, February 26, 2008 - NO Refunds after February 21, 2008 -- Seats will ONLY be reserved upon receipt of payment.
