Shindagin Hollow State Forest

Shindagin Hollow is a good-sized state forest with an extensive network of trails.  Purple on the map below indicates the Finger Lakes Trail; other trails are marked in gray.  Shindagin is good for hiking but especially famous among mountain bikers.  To get there from Route 79 at Slaterville, take a right on Boiceville Road, then left on Central Chapel Road.  At the fork you can take either Shindagin Hollow Road (left) or Braley Hill Road (right) right into the forest.
