This section of the Finger Lakes Trail is especially pretty in places, with a combination of woods and fields, and great views facing west from South Hill.  The stretch of trail shown in purple on the map below can be accessed at the southeast end from Comfort Road just north of Lieb Road, or from the northwest end where Layen Road and Town Line Road form meet to form a 90 degree turn.  Or, you can make it a shorter hike by starting or ending at Bruce Hill Road.  The section southeast of Bruce Hill Road is primarily forest, while the section northwest of Bruce Hill Road is forest and open fields, with numerous views.
