Combine
a steep climb up the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) along Lick Brook,
with bike ride down Sand Bank Road to fetch car so hikers don't
have to hike back down same trail. Crossing Lick Brook on the FLT
is the lowest point on all of the FLT, then goes UP out of Inlet
Valley. Lots of choices for various trails in this area depending
on hiker group size and stamina and vehicular assistance. |

| Why do you think this walk or trail is special and why would others also enjoy it? | |
| Bring a bike or two with your car, and chain bike(s) to bridge on Town Line Rd at FLT trailhead near Sand Bank Road. Drive down Sand Bank to Rt 13, and park in lot at the Finger Lakes Trail trailhead near the bridge over Enfield Creek. Hike up FLT by Lick Brook. Amazing view of very steep falls here, as well as an option of Blue or White blazed FLT trails depending on how steep you want to climb. Back up on Town Line Rd you can fetch bike(s) to return to car along exciting downhill Sand Bank Rd. While somebody's fetching car, others in hiking party can take a little excursion along FLT upstream on Lick Brook. The Buttermilk Falls spur off the FLT just southeast of Town Line Rd is another option for more hiking if some hikers want to meet car at FLT crossings on West King Road or Yaple Road. Or if hikers are tired from climb, Lick Brook near Town Line bridge makes a pretty picnic spot. | |
