Eastman Hill

This area includes a very nice section of the Finger Lakes Trail, shown in purple on the map below.  For reference, the main two roads shown (but not named) on this map section are Route 96B, in the southwest corner, and Coddington Road, running from the north to east side the map.  This area can be reached from the intersection of Heisey Road and Eastman Hill Road, or from the bottom at Coddington Road near the intersection with Ridgeway Road.  Eastman Hill Road is closed to vehicle traffice just north of Heisey Road, but it makes for a nice hike.  Follow the Finger Lakes Trail markers to veer east from the old road and hike around Eastman Hill, which offers views from high above the Coddington Road corridor.  Upon rejoining the old Eastman Hill Road, you can follow this road back up to where you came from to make a loop hike, or continue down the Finger Lakes Trail toward the Ridgeway area.  Another option from the Heisey-Eastman intersection is to walk east along Heisey Road a short distance to its dead end.
