Gaia the Turtle and the Wetland Habitat Gardens
Located at the southern end of the Garden, you can't miss Gaia and her pond. Feel free to play on Gaia but be careful of the tender, little sedum plants just starting to growing in her plates. Can you find the full moon on Gaia's back?Growing Gardens
With programs going strong for three years, the Growing Gardens area gets a new permanent design. The Youth Horticulture Apprentices installed the split rail fence that defines the Growing Gardens during the summer of 2007. In November 2007 construction began shaping the pathways and beds of the new area. Look for construction to continue in early spring in time for spring planting and 2008 programs. In May 2007, Cornell student and ICG intern, Danielle Hodgins lead a living sculpture at the Garden. Participants learned techniques for created sod sculptures and ICG gained a great addition to the wetlands area.| Conceptual Design | Photo Gallery: Summer 2007 | |
