Parenting Skills Workshop Series

This is a program for parents interested in improving the way they talk with their children. The skills of:

* Encouragement
* Can Do
* Choices
* Self-Control and
* Respecting Feelings

are explained, discussed and practiced. The workshop helps parents understand how children's behavior is affected by the way parents talk with them.

Six workshops are held yearly, with each session running for 8 weeks, 2 hours each. There is no fee for the workshop. Workshops are held in locations throughout Tompkins County. Free childcare is often provided.
