Natural Leaders Initiative (NLI)

Nomination Packet, Summer 2008
(next group begins September 2008)

A collaboration of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, the Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC), the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) and Tompkins Community Action.

  • Do you have ideas about how to make things better in your community?
  • Do you get things done?
  • Do people come to you for help?
  • Do you get others to share their ideas and get involved?
  • Do you like meeting new people and learning new things?
  • Do you want to be around others who have a passion for improving community life?

OR

  • Are you an established leader who would like to mentor an emerging community leader?

OR

  • Does your organization, board or committee want to increase its capacity to foster diverse participation and leadership?

If so, come join the Natural Leaders Initiative (NLI).

Who is a natural leader? What will I learn as an NLI participant?
What does NLI offer emerging leaders? What does it cost?
What do NLI participants do? What does NLI offer community organizations, boards and committees?
