Below are case studies of local homes featured in the annual Green Buildings Open House. The case studies were developed by students enrolled in Professor Elan Shapiro's Projects in Sustainability course at Ithaca College during the Fall, 2005 and Fall, 2006 semesters under the guidance of the Ithaca Green Building Alliance. The case studies are designed to provide insight into the homeowners' experiences and motivation for building with various alternative building methods and technologies, including cost and performance data.
