Description
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County
Working Title: RideWise Transportation Education Program Manager
Classification Title: Extension Community Educator
Supervisor’s Classification: Team Coordinator
General Responsibilities:
As a member of the Environmental Education Program Team, the Program Manager
will be responsible for the development, implementation, management, documentation,
and evaluation of the RideWise Transportation Education Program. The goal of
this project is to develop a consumer education effort to assist Tompkins County
residents in exploring their transportation options, the economics and environmental
impacts of their choices, and to develop individual personal transportation
plans. Input will be sought from consumers and transportation providers that
will ultimately result in a research-based, locally tailored curriculum that
guides individuals through a process for developing an individual transportation
plan to realize their mobility goals. Staff from select local human service
agencies will be trained in the implementation of the curriculum for delivery
to their specific target audiences.

Ensure program outreach to diverse audiences, appreciate and embrace diversity

Reporting Relationships:
Program Manager receives direct administrative and functional supervision
from and will report directly to the Environment Program Team Coordinator. She/he
is expected to implement the agreed upon program effort as a member of the CCETC
Team. Duties will be performed within general policies and guidelines of Cornell
Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County.
