Celebrate spring’s arrival by stopping by the Compost Carnival for a guaranteed good time for the whole family! See and experience ALL aspects of composting. Learn more than you ever thought possible about making and using “black gold!” Games such as “Wheel of Compost”, “Compost Twister” and “Bobbing for Worms” will make learning fun! Teams of Master Composters will be on hand to answer your questions. Why compost? How does it work? What’s the best way for me to compost at home, at work or at school? There will be interactive displays, activities for kids and continuous tours of our composting demonstration site, and a performance by Tompkins County’s own “Compost Theatre,” the one-of-a-kind theatre troupe. Prize drawings will be held for all attendees and everyone registered on the Tompkins County Compost Map. Admission is free and open to the public. See you at the carnival!
