Heights Fire Department
Before: The new fire hall with no landscaping

After: A memorial grove and bench to commemorate the firefighters who died on 9/11

Town Hall
Before: The entrance to the town hall lacked a welcoming garden and a place
to sit down

After: Youth from Caroline's Rural Youth Services built planter boxes and placed a bench in the seating area

Dryden
Time Square
Before: An building was torn down in the center of Dryden, creating the
perfect spot for a public park

After: Sidewalks, landscape plantings, benches and a clock create a focal point in the town center

Freeville
Community Park
Before: This small village park was no longer maintained, and was full of
weeds and rotting landscape timbers

After: The park with new bench, landscape timbers, planters and flowering plants

Town of
Lansing
Before: Lackluster plantings at the village entrance on Triphammer Road

After: Perennials and annuals added for color, and new planters boxes attached to every "Village of Lansing" sign

Mulholland
Wildflower Preserve on Six Mile Creek
Before: Old kiosk, shabby waste receptacles, invasive plants

After: New
kiosk, mulched path, new waste receptacles, and
invasive plants
removed and replaced with native plantings

Newfield
Before: The historic schoolhouse was moved to Main Street and had no landscaping

After: Perennials and shrubs around the schoolhouse

South
Hill Recreation Way
Before: The entrance to the hiking/skiing trail

After: A new trail kiosk, dog waste station, and an entrance garden at the trailhead

Trumansburg
Before: A grove of crabapple trees on Main Street

After: Volunteers planted annuals around each tree for bright summer color
