Phil Genova Memorial Fund

Phil Genova of the Cortland Line Company passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 22, 2002 after a day of fishing in the Florida Keys. Phil is survived by his wife Judy and two small boys, Dante and Cosmo, ages 6 and 10.

Phil, who authored FIRST CAST, spent the better part of his life dedicated to teaching children the joys of fly fishing and fly tying. He was the founding father of the Community Fly Fisher, and more recently a cornerstone and staunch supporter of the program. His enthusiasm for the sport and for children was unmatched and he will be deeply missed.

Family and friends ask those wishing to contribute to consider the following:

Donations will be accepted in Phil's honor by the Community Fly Fisher Program. All Proceeds will benefit Youth Development through Fly Fishing Education.
