Mission Statement

"Empowering youth and adults by creating opportunities that build like skills through experiential learning."

About the Program

The Urban Outreach program is a multi-faceted youth development program under the 4-H umbrella that uses a variety of delivery modes to reach out to as many families as possible in the City of Ithaca, and surrounding towns.  The mission is to take the 4-H youth development model and make it accessible to underserved audiences, particularly families who may lack the resources necessary to participate in traditional 4-H programming.  Funded through Ithaca Youth Services and Abbott Associates, this soft-funded program offers daily afterschool enrichment programs, summer camps, and special interest outreach clubs.
