1. Classes are open to all youth between the ages of 9 and 18.
2. All Exhibitors for the Open 4-H Youth Model Horse Show must register on the Official Entry Form.
3. Early registration fee is $1 per entry or $10 for the day. Entries postmarked after April 9, 2004 will be $1.50 per entry or $15 for the day. Fee is waived for Tompkins County 4-H members.
4. Registration fee must accompany the Official Entry Form or entry will not be accepted.
5. Refunds will not be awarded for missed classes. Exhibitors are responsible for being prepared for each class they have entered in.
6. Show officials reserve the right to refuse day of show entries if space is limiting.
7. Limit 3 models per class per exhibitor.
8. Horses may be shown in more than one class. If you anticipate a tack change, please inform the ring steward.
9. Classes with fewer than 3 entries may be canceled or combined with other classes at the judges’ discretion.
10. Each model must have an entry tag that cannot be easily removed fastened to a hind leg. Tag must include horse name, breed, and gender on the front and exhibitor number on the back. Exhibitors are encourage to bring their own tags, though some will be available from Show Officials on Show Day.
11. It is expected that the exhibitor will manage models. Adults are not permitted to assist in tacking up or setting up horses. Exhibitors must set up their own horses. The model horse judges are not to handle the models.
12. Any make or model composition is permissible. Keep in mind that not one model is perfect for all events. It is not how many you enter; rather how suitable the model is for that class.
13. The Judge’s decision is final.
