First Time Home Buyers
The First Time Home Buyers Program offers local area residents a six class workshop series on home buying, from a consumer point of view. The program allows participants to explore the home buying process by offering classes on mortgage products, how to choose an attorney, how to choose a home inspector, how to choose a real estate broker, and understanding your credit score and budget. The program added an additional series in 2005 and assisted 6 new home owners in opening a ‘First Home Club' account, while educating 26 participants, entitling them to a $5,000.00 grant opportunity.
