The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Program continues to evolve in responsive and innovative ways to meet the changing needs of families, consumers and homeowners. Combining direct teaching, new technologies and research-based knowledge, FCS educators help Suffolk residents maintain healthy lifestyles, manage resources and raise responsible children. Through collaborative efforts with other county agencies and community-based organizations, FCS educators provide support to families, especially limited-income families with young children, in the areas of nutrition, health and parent education.
