Family
Development Training and Credentialing Program
The
Family Development Training and Credentialing Program (FDC) is for agency
directors, program directors, family workers, case managers and other who work
with families. This is a 90-hour training in skills and competencies, related
to working effectively with families. Empire State college and Suffolk County
Community College have approved the training for college credit and qualified
family workers receive a credential that is recognized by many major family-serving
agencies in New York State.
FDC training will begin in Fall 2007 and
is facilitated by Nancy Olsen-Harbich, Human Development Specialist, Cornell Cooperative
Extension and Roberta Karant, Family Service League.
An
informational meeting will be held June 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Middle
Country Public Library for an overview of the program. Call Laurie Wells at 631-727-7850,
