Family Development Training and Credentialing Program

The Family Development Training and Credentialing Program (FDC) is for agency directors, program directors, family workers, case managers and other who work with families. This is a 90-hour training in skills and competencies, related to working effectively with families. Empire State college and Suffolk County Community College have approved the training for college credit and qualified family workers receive a credential that is recognized by many major family-serving agencies in New York State.

FDC training will begin in Fall 2007 and is facilitated by Nancy Olsen-Harbich, Human Development Specialist, Cornell Cooperative Extension and Roberta Karant, Family Service League.

An informational meeting will be held June 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Middle Country Public Library for an overview of the program. Call Laurie Wells at 631-727-7850, ext. 340 if you would like to attend or for more information.
