2008 SENECA COUNTY LITERACY POSTER CONTEST

WHO: All Seneca County students who will be entering Kindergarten through Sixth Grade fall 2008 – Home Schoolers welcome.

WHAT: To promote the importance of reading using the theme - "Adventures with Books: Read"

HOW: Create a poster on 11" x 14" heavy paper using one or more mediums such as acrylics, watercolor, pencil, pen, charcoal, spray paint, crayons, pastels, etcetera. Posters should convey the theme "Adventures with Books: Read". Be sure to attach the entry form to the back of the poster.

WHY: To promote the importance of reading to both youth and adults.

WHEN: All entries must be postmarked by July 7, 2008

WHERE: The poster should be mailed or brought to Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension – 4-H Youth Development, 308 Main Street Shop Centre, Waterloo, NY 13165. If mailed it should be with cardboard in a flat envelope – please do not fold. You also can mail the poster in a tube to prevent damage or it can be personally dropped off at the above address.
