Paid Internship: Roots & Wisdom Assistant Grower

Time frame:  600 hours, beginning May 20, 2013 (start date somewhat flexible)
Paid Internship—application required
Pre-employment background check and drivers license check required.

General Responsibilities:  Serve as a team member in managing Roots and Wisdom gardens and delivering programs to youth and volunteer participants.

2013 RISE; Retirees In Service to the Environment Training

Cornell Cooperative Extension, Schenectady County has a very unique and interesting training opportunity for retirees in Schenectady County.  The program “Retirees In Service to the Environment” RISE is a free training geared toward retirees 55 years and older to promote environmental volunteerism and civic engagement in the community. 

As a potential volunteer with Cornell Cooperative Extension we require a volunteer application, background and motor vehicle check; downloadable forms are available on the side bar of this page.
