4-H Clubs offer youth an opportunity to develop and advance current life skills by practicing learned knowledge. Club youth also gain wisdom through observing, doing and living in the course of project experiences. 4-H leaders support youth to reach their full potential in many project areas, county-wide and state-wide events.

Each club completes a minimum of two projects and one community service activity during the program year. A wide range of projects are available to meet the interests of our diverse population of youth.  The most exciting part of 4-H is the community service our clubs provide to Schenectady County, because through those community service activities youth develop leadership skills and become invested in their community.

Senator H. Farley salutes Schenectady County 4-H youth on March 6, 2012 as they participated in the 4-H Capital Days Legislative Breakfast in Albany. Full story
