4-H Shooting Sports is underway!

The second semester of 4-H Shooting Sports will begin June 17, 2008 from 6 - 7:30 PM at Guan-Ho-Ha Rod and Gun Club in Scotia, NY.  The age requirement is 12 years old and above. You must be an enrolled 4-H member and registered by a parent or guardian. Follow this link for more information.

Horticulture Education Center offers a Summer Garden Series!

CCE, SC is offering a special series of workshops open to the public!  The “Summer Garden Series” takes place on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Horticulture Education Center in Central Park, Schenectady.  Topics include: Composting To Enrich the Soil, The Kitchen Garden, Herb Garden, Garden Maintenance, Reaping the Harvest, and Floral Creations.  Classes are only $5.00 each, and space is limited, so follow the link for details about the workshops and how to register!

Look for our billboards! June is National Dairy Month and in an effort to promote the consumption of low-fat and non-fat milk the Capital District EWPH Project, in collaboration with EWPH partners, has funded six billboards shown below. These 1% or Less Milk billboards are displayed in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady counties. In addition, 1% or Less Milk cling decals will be displayed on the milk cooler doors in all NYS Price Chopper supermarkets and Stewart’s shops in June and July.
