Teens who market 4-H Youth Development through public speaking, news writing, public service announcements, web page development through local, county, and state-wide activities. state-wide activities. Ambassadors attend STARR every year and bring new ideas and projects back to the county.
Open to all 4-H teens in Rensselaer County - Offering opportunities for community service and leadership through events and activities like 4-H Family Fun Day, 4 -H Snack Bar at the Schaghticoke Fair, 4-H Auction, Relay for Life, and Mitten Tree.
A 2-year program for a county-wide group that matches up with a county from another state. As the host county Rensselaer County hosts that county one year and travels to that county the other year.

Claudette Martin represented New York
at the 78th National 4-H Conference, March 29 - Apri 3, 2008, While at the conference, Claudette participated in the Green A.I.D. 5K Fun Run/Walk, participated in round table dscussions, attended workshops, and did a citizenship excurison which included Washington monuments and museums. She attended an assembly at USDA Headquarters with remarks from Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer and visited her Senators and Representatives. The Clover Cruise on the Potomac (with dinner and dancing) concluded the conference. The
