When you contact your local Putnam County Cornell Cooperative Extension office, you get connected to research-based information from Cornell’s Departments of Horticulture, Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Natural Resources. Some of the most respected scientists, including those at Cornell’s Center for the Environment and the Cornell University Pesticide Management Education Program are on call to help us find the answers you need.
There are costs associated with running this service for you. An average call, or email response can require fifteen minutes to more than two hours of research. The real cost can range from $10 to more than $100.
Funding for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County’s horticulture and natural resources program comes from public funds; grants and contracts; fees for service; and direct gifts from people like you that benefit from our programming.
