What is 4-H Youth Development?
4-H Youth Development creates opportunities for youth, ages 5 to 19 to develop life skills, practical knowledge and wisdom.

By combining hands-on projects with opportunities to travel, make decisions that affect youth programs, showcase talents, develop relationships with caring adults, serve communities, and build leadership skills, 4-H provides a framework for which young people can develop independence, experience mastery and foster a sense of belonging and generosity.

About the 4-H Emblem:
The 4-H Clover is one of the most widely recognized emblems in the country. This emblem, a green four-leaf clover with a white "H" in each leaf represents:

Head: Thinking & Decision Making

Heart: Citizenship, Values & Attitudes

Hands: Learning New Skills

Health: Healthy Living

White was chosen to represent purity and green to symbolize nature and the great outdoors.

4-H Members Pledge:
" My head to clearer thinking
My heart to greater loyalty
My hands to larger service
My health to better living
For my club, my community, my country and my world."
