Boston Bombings and Children. Children are sometimes overlooked as we talk about tragedy and violent events. If you're at all in doubt about what to say to young people about the event at the Boston Marathon, you will find some good tips at the EDEN (Extension Disaster Educator Network) website.  In addition, please be quite careful about letting young children watch or listen to the news, especially if you are not there to respond to their concerns and questions.

This notice is to inform all Cornell Cooperative Extension program participants and volunteers that the elevator at our office at 18 Seward Avenue, Middletown, will be out of service for approximately 8 weeks beginning March 13, 2013.

We are making a concerted effort to relocate programs and meetings to other accessible locations, but some may have to remain at 18 Seward Avenue if other space is not available.

If you have enrolled for a program that has been relocated, we will be contacting you to provide the location and directions.

Please let us know if you will have difficulty walking up the two flights of stairs so we can make accommodations. For those of you who will be using the stairs and carrying items please exercise caution. Ask for assistance whenever possible. Additional measures are being set up to help with this major adjustment.
