Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County is pleased to offer a preview copy of this episode of “A Walk in Your Shoes,” to all schools and agencies who have an interest in preventing teen pregnancy. Produced by Bullfrog Productions in cooperation with Noggin/The N, this excellent video features a teen parent couple, Kaitlyn Kniffin and Justin Mars, from Orange County, NY. In this episode of “A Walk in Your Shoes,” a teen couple “at risk” for early parenthood trade places with Kaitlyn and Justin as they move through their busy day caring for their young son, Sean.
"A Walk in Your Shoes" is a series designed to assist youth look at the realities of different aspects of life by trading places. Two teen couples - one with a child, and the other "at risk" for early parenthood, are featured in this episode.
The Human Ecology Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension- Orange County was instrumental in the episode, arranging for a couple from their "Teens as Parents of Babies and Toddlers" graduating class to be featured in this production. The class portrayed in this episode is Cornell's program, which is held in three county locations, and generously funded by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services/ Orange County Youth Bureau, and the Newburgh APPS Community Service Project.
