A fun, interactive program for women (and men) to help learn and experience tasty ways to encourage our families to eat more types and amounts of fruits and vegetables!

Sisters in Health...a flexible series of cooking experiences to prepare quick and tasty fruit and vegetable dishes. Participants learn while they cook and talk together!

Recommended as a follow-up to the "Supercupboard" course.

Learn How to:

» Choose the freshest produce possible
» Prepare and store produce to maintain quality
» Plan meals where kids eat their veggies
» Eat five or more servings of vegetables and fruits each day

Who Can Attend? Participants who receive food stamps or who qualify, and staff from community agencies that work with families.

Where? Your location or ours:
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County
220 Herald Place, 2nd Floor
Syracuse NY 13202

(A large meeting room with kitchen facilities is best.)

Program Length?

4-6 consecutive weeks.

Time?
Each class is 1 1/2 hours long.

There is NO FEE for the program. However, we require that your facility provide the food or financial reimbursement for food in order to provide cooking experiences for the participants.

We are flexible!

We offer programs both daytime or evening. For more information, contact Phyllis Grover (424-9485 ext. 238) or Kathy Dischner (424-9485 ext. 239) - Monday-Friday - 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
