The Skaneateles Lake Watershed Agriculture Program
The Skaneateles Lake Watershed Agriculture Program focus is to provide information and education to farm partners located in the Skaneateles Lake Watershed, the potable water supply for the City of Syracuse. Educators are involved in developing vision and mission statements for participating farmers and assisting in developing whole farm plans. In the past two growing seasons Watershed farmers participated in Tactical Agriculture (TAg) program to use integrated pest management practices that maintain or increase crop production while minimizing the use of pesticides.
