All Get Fresh! recipes, passed a taste test with hundreds of 2-5 year olds across NYS giving it their stamp of approval.

The theme for National Nutrition Month- 2008 is It’s a Matter of Fact! Kathy Dischner, MSED, RD along with other Registered Dietitians from the Central New York Dietetic Association will share how the Registered Dietitian is a great source for timely, scientifically-based food and nutrition information. As Nutrition experts, Registered Dietitians, are reaching out in their communities to share the facts that healthy eating and an active lifestyle do not need to be complicated. Keep food choices simple: choose whole foods with meals and snacks that focus on vegetables, fruits and whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean protein to maintain health and control weight. For food guidance, menu ideas, recipes and tips add physical activity into daily routines to www.mypyramid.gov . Also, go to www.eartrightNY.org, click on Central Region, for more recipes and information on Registered Dietitian services.
