Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County (CCE Onondaga) is a community-based educational outreach agency with state and national networks. CCE Onondaga has educational outreach programming in the areas of agriculture 4H youth development, nutrition and food safety, and natural resources.

The Search is on……..

The Executive Director position for CCE of Onondaga County, located in Syracuse, has been posted on the Cornell web site. It is a national search, welcoming a dynamic and diverse pool of candidates to apply for the position of Executive Director. We put knowledge to work in both rural and urban communities. This position serves as chief executive officer, working closely with the board and staff to implement the mission and strategies of this community-based education organization connected to the Cornell University Cooperative Extension system. Masters degree and six or more years demonstrated, professional experience required. Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Paul O’Conner resigned in May to begin a position June 1, as a State Extension Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension in Ithaca. Carol Wixson, former Executive Director, has returned in an Interim Executive Director position until December. A local Search Committee has been appointed by Board President, Carolyn May.
