ENVIRONMENTAL HORTICULTURE
The Horticulture/Gardening office of CCE-Nassau is located at Eisenhower Park, near the Hempstead Turnpike park entrance, behind the Technical Services building. (See DIRECTIONS on the Home Page of this web site)

HOME GARDENING AND LANDSCAPE
Integrated Pest management (IPM) encourages healthy plants and lawns with minimal adverse affects on the environment and the health of its people.

In-Person Gardening Questions
Monday - Thursday, 10am to 4pm. Free to CCE Horticulture enrollees; $5 for others

To promote IPM, trained Master Gardeners and CCE staff answer questions year-round:
* Plants and lawn care
* Outdoor insects
* Growing fruits and vegetables
* Soil pH testing
* Pruning and fertilization
* Effective watering techniques
* Pest and plant identification
* Reduced pesticide use
