Donations
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County is funded by a variety of sources, of which the largest is Jefferson County. Still, Jefferson County's allocation represents just 20% of our total budget. The remainder must be made up from contract revenues, some direct allocations from the State and Federal governments, fees for service-and donations from our supporters.
The contributions we receive are used for such purposes as scholarships for children with financial need for 4-H Camp Wabasso, for repairs at Wabasso, and for special program support not otherwise available from our more restrictive funding sources.
Citizen support, through contributions of time and money, are vital to the operations of Extension. If you would like to contribute time as a volunteer, please see the "Volunteer Opportunities" page on the website. If you wish to make a cash donation, please be assured that it will be very appreciated and carefully utilized.
