WHAT'S NEW?

from Ed Staehr
at NY FarmNet

Governor Paterson's proposed budget reduced NY FarmNet funding by $100,000 during a time when requests by farmers for our services are at an all-time high. We are making every effort to get our funding restored by the state legislature. In addition, NY Farm Bureau is helping us by posting a link on their web site for concerned individuals to write to their elected state representatives.

If you are interested in utilizing Farm Bureau's web site to send a letter on FarmNet's behalf,

Order forms are now available for the 2010 CONSERVATION TREE and SHRUB SEEDLING SALE!

You can get the forms at CUCE Erie County, by calling Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District at 652-8480 ext. 5, or on-line.
