Fishing 
The waters of the Chemung River are dominated by Smallmouth Bass and Walleye. There are also Largemouth Bass, Bullheads, Carp, and Muskie.
Prime fishing is during the summer and fall, but Walleye and Muskie are active into December.

This fish was caught by Matthew Corsi of Horseheads in
the picturesque Chemung River on June 16, 2007 near Frenchman's Bluff
in Big Flats. Using a spinner bait for the catch, this Tiger Muskie that
measures 32 inches long. and weighs approximately 10 pounds. Matt grew
up around the Chemung River and considers this a prize fish that he plans
to have mounted.
