Rain Garden & Rain Barrel Workshop

Are you interested in rain gardens or rain barrels? Do you want to make your own home-made rain barrel? 
Do you need information on how to get a rain garden started?  On Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, 
Cornell Cooperative Extension Cayuga County, 248 Grant Ave., Auburn, will provide a workshop, FREE of charge
and open to the public, on how to make a home-made rain barrel and create a rain garden.  The presentation will
explore the steps and materials needed for assembling a rain barrel.  It will also touch upon what a rain garden
is, its function, design and plants best suited for the garden. 
If you are interested in purchasing a blue plastic barrel, cost is $15; checks can be made out to Cornell
Cooperative Extension (CCE) Cayuga County, attention to Peggy by August 14, 2009 at 5:00 pm.  
No late orders will be accepted after August 7thPlease call 315.255.1183, CCE to sign up for the workshop
and order, or for any questions.

Education Classes Fall Brochure

2009 Succeeding in Small Business Fall Classes

The Small Business Development Program will begin its 9-session course, “Succeeding in Small Business”, on Monday, September 21, 2009.  The remaining dates for this series are: Mondays, September 28, October 5, 19, 26; November 2, 9 & 16 and Tuesday, October 13. All classes will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Building at 248 Grant Avenue, Auburn, starting at 6:00 p.m..
