4-H is...for You

4-H is group of youth between the ages of 5 and 19 years old who are interested in having fun while learning. 4-H is for the whole family: Moms, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, anyone else in your family. 4-H is not just for "farm" families...it's for everyone. Whether you live in the city, a small town or anywhere. Every youth can be a 4-Her. Join the Fun!

4-H is an international informal education program for youth taught by volunteer adults and teens. It is part of Cornell Cooperative Extension with an educational base at Cornell University. 4-H receives public and private support at the local, state, and federal level. 4-H is low cost activity, we do charge a small fee for youth to be a part of our program (family rate). Many organizations also use 4-H's project material to enhance their programs.

Some youth will want to join 4-H clubs, others will participate for only a few weeks in a special project interest group. You may become involved in 4-H through any agency in the community, or even through school.
