Home Economics Contest -- July 31, 2008, Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds, Little Valley, NY. Workshops You Missed: Fleece Traveling Pillow and Blanket - (supplies needed)January 13, 2007 1 yard of color #1 1 yard of color # 2 1/2 yard of favor color (#1 or #2) 1 yard of 3/4 inch ribbon Thread to match Purchase either alpine or anit-pill fleece as they are heavier Blanket - cut a total of (12) twelve 14" squares 6 of color #1 and 6 of color #2 Using 1/2 seams sew squares together in rows of 3 - alternating the colors. Sew the 4 rows of 3 together making a blanket of 4 x 3 squares. Finish the edges of the blanket with pinking shears, a rotary cutter with a pinking or scalloping blade, fold under and stitch down, or use a 4 thread over lock serger stitch.
