Vision
The vision of the Family Development Program is that children will be raised in nurturing and resilient families within safe and supporting communities.

The Family Resource Centers in Waverly and Owego are free for families with young children. The centers offer nurturing play spaces, parent education, family activities, support groups and referral to local services.

Parenting Workshops
The Parenting Skills Workshops Series is offered to parents to help them build skills to improve their interactions with their children. Workshops on family literacy, child development and discipline are provided also.
Parent Educators Network
In 2004, CCE Tioga provided leadership to organize the Tioga County Parent Educators Network.
The goals of the network are to provide opportunities for parent educators to meet and share information and resources, to identify best practices in parenting education, to assess current parenting education opportunities in Tioga County, and to identify parenting education priorities for Tioga County.

NUTMEG
NUTMEG is a joint project of the Nutrition and Wellness and the Family Development programs where children ages 3 to 8 learn about nutrition and physical activity.
