Horticulture
Horticulture is the science and art of cultivating vegetables, fruits, flowers, and ornamental plants. Here at the Clinton County Cooperative Extension, we help the area's community members learn about the many facits of lawn and garden care, have an active Master Gardener Volunteer Program, and are helping market producers find innovating ways grow a better product and to get fresh, local produce to the consumer. Each year we accomplish this by means workshops, events, phone calls, office visits, and site visits.
We want you to have fun exploring our web-based resources, but also encourage you to stop by our office with questions and/or samples, call us, and attend our hands-on workshops and events!
Fall Workshops & Events
We have many, many events scheduled for the fall of 2008. Some highlights include a local foods farm tour and dinner, a high tunnel open house, Put Your Garden to Bed, and a bus trip to the Montreal Botanical Gardens during their Festival of Lanterns. Check our scheduled by clicking on our Upcoming Events link on the left side of this page or click here to download our brochure.
